ARTIST - EDUCATOR - CLIMATE JUSTICE ADVOCATE - YOUTH & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT -

I'm an educator, Amazigh artist, and community organizer with a Master's degree in Education and Society and a Bachelor's degree in International Development. My academic background laid the groundwork for my community-focused initiatives.

My graduate thesis delved into the identities of young activists of color, employing an action research approach. This led to the creation of the Everygreen Youth Lab, where arts-based methods were used to explore stories. This experience fueled my passion for guiding individuals towards action through creative means.

Beyond academia, I've developed a knack for facilitating workshops, ensuring all voices are heard, representing diverse identities in the learning process.

My journey includes roles at McGill University, the United Nations Association in Canada, and the Canadian Space Agency. Collaborations within schools, NGOs, and community groups, particularly in climate work, have been enlightening. This has further motivated me to champion climate justice and employ art as a means of education, inspiration, connection, and healing.

I'm a firm believer in the power of art in telling stories, understanding complex intersections of the environment, identities and social issues. I use creative methods to help people navigate the complex web of climate issues. As an award-winning painter, I use my works to tell my own stories and showcase the beauty of nature. My art is a huge part of what I do and whenever I get a chance to explore arts-based methods, I will.

Join me on this journey towards a more equitable world, where art and education converge to ignite action on climate.
